The world still awaits John McCain's Vice Presidential nomination. Word on the street is that McCain will make his announcement after the Olympics are over. The media is still abuzz with who John McCain will pick or should pick. Other than biggoted "Christians" who won't vote for Romney just because he is a Mormon how can anyone see a better fit with anyone other than Romney?
Let's compare two of the leading candidates. After highschool Mitt Romney earned a perfect score on his SAT. Mitt Romney then attended Brigham Young University where he graduated valedictorian, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude in 1971. In 1975 Romney earned a joint juris doctorate and masters of business administration from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School. Romney graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and was named a Baker scholar for graduating in the top five percent of the Harvard Business School. Mitt Romney then went on to create thousands of jobs for Americans and increase the retirement portfolios of thousands of people by increasing the value of their retirement portfolios. Mitt Romney created himself a networth of somewhere between $250 and $500 million dollars.
On the other hand you have Mike Huckabee. Let's take a look at his educational acheivements, jobs created, and demonstrated ability to create wealth. Huckabee graduated magna cum laude from Ouachita Baptist University with a bachelors degree in religion. Mike Huckabee has spent his entire adult life as a preacher (it's interesting to note that while Mitt Romney has held some important Mormon Church callings, he not only was making money for himself, for others, but was also recieving no money from the Mormon Church).
So, Mitt Romney graduated from the most prestigious Universities in the world at the top of his class. Mike Huckabee graduated from the top of his class (from a school that most people outside of Arkadelphia, Arkansas have never heard of). Was paid to preach the word of God, created essentially no jobs, and helped build zero companies. Looks like a close call from here.

Why are you putting down Huckabee for his profession? Just because our church does not have paid clergy does not mean other churches who do are inherently evil or wrong. I don't even know why I care. I'm one of those evil Mormon Democrats who could care less about what Romney does.
I disagree with what the previous commenter said about paid clergy. I think Mormon doctrine does indicate that paying clergy is wrong. I hardly think it it means that the individuals who get paid for it are bad people or have impure motives however.
As far as the post goes, I don't think McCain has ever seriously considered Huckabee as a running mate. The post should compare Romney to people whose names are being tossed around as legitimate options.
I am ashamed that you would put someone down by what Universities one attended and the amount of money one makes. I am a very conservative moromon and yes I do like Romney. I do not care for Huckabee, but to be little him because he did not go Harvard or BYU is low. You are the type of Mormon that makes us look like we are better then eveyone else. You should study the example of Christ a little better. Yes Romeny is a much better choice for a VP but instead making fun of ones job and schools why not attack him on his political stances.
Some dumb site said without facts that Romney's IQ was lower than other candidates. His academic recor puts the lie to that.
Finally educational credentials are being recognized when it comes to presidential candidates.
John McCain should have chosen Mitt Romney who has impeccable academic creditials. Afterall, John McCain was ranked 894 of 899 while attending the US Naval Academy and Mitt would have elevated the ticket.
Everybody conveniently ignored the educational credentials of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Both Received their Juris Doctorates.
Barack Obama was the Editor of the Harvard Law Review and became the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. Barack also taught Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago Law School for twelve years. Like Mitt, Barack Obama also graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard.
