American Idol Runner-Up David Archuleta's Father Busted For Soliciting Prostitute
According to US Weekly, David Archulet's father Jeff Archuleta, 41, was arrested in mid January during a raid on a "massage" parlor in Midvale, Utah. Archuleta was charged with prostitute solicitation, a class B misdemeanor. He paid a $582 fine and pleaded no contest. According to his attorney Eric Bauer he was there receiving legitimate massage therapy for his back. I'm not a doctor but that seems like a strange way to heal back pain?

Archuleta should have learned from the lessons of Larry Craig -- if you're going to later protest your innocence, don't plead guilty or no contest. Not that I fault his attorney for trying.

ReplyDeleteYeah, that pretty much sucks for his son, David. The stigma of sex-related offenses is enormous. During my first summer in law school I interned with the Child Sex Abuse unit of the local District Attorney's Office. I really didn't like prosecuting child sex crimes, but I respected the guys who did. They took great care before they pursued charges against someone, since a grand jury indictment was usually enough to ruin someone's life.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I love David Archuleta. And this saddens me that his dad did that. I know men have needs but your son is one the most popular stars right now. I think he should have did self pleasure instead of going that way. And his wife is so beautiful I feel bad for Archie's family. I hope they can all surpass this. Kisses from Chicago~Sophia~
